MORNING STAR CONGREGATION

Pastor Claude and his congregation wanted to buy a building, but the Rabbi talked to the building owners and told them not to sell. After three long years of negotiating and looking for a building, it looks like they may have a breakthrough and will possibly soon be able to purchase a building. 

Claude has a great desire to do humanitarian work in the city, and has put together a team to go out and clean up to try and make a difference that people can see, and so win them by his good works. He said they tried to do street witnessing in the early days, but it was counter-productive. We have discovered tthis to be the case in almost every area that we have gone into.

A perfect example is one night when we were in Jerusalem. We were down in the main area of the city when we heard a big commotion behind us. It turned out to be a Jewish man that looked to be around 30 years old. This man was yelling at the top of his voice that there were missionaries and they were dangerous, and pointing to these people who had been witnessing in the square, telling everyone to beware and not to speak to them. A missionary is someone who is considered to be on about the same level as a Nazi, only they say that the Nazis took the lives of the Jewish people but the missionaries come to steal their souls. Claude mentioned a group called the Druz, which is very persecuted. He wants to start another congregation in a community close by, called Magnar.
